Imagine spending $70K+ per year to send your kid to this soulless institution.

I'm a Catholic, so I'm perhaps naive when I ask this, but ... why do Jews continue to support progressives who clearly have contempt for them?

It's true. These universities have been hijacked by antisemitism and are shills for the worst most repressive Islam. How did that happen?

I had never thought about Dara Horn's statement about freedom and the Jews but in thinking about it it is true. Every society that allows Jews to live has prospered. Every society where Jews are persecuted is on the path to becoming repressive and authoritarian. Recently, as Venezuela was beginning to feel the effects of Chavez, the very first group accused and attacked was a yeshiva followed closely by the physical destruction of several news outlets. Hand in hand.

The tragedy of all this is twofold. These students are the country's future leaders, and the pressure on American Jews is an indication this country is sliding down into authoritarianism and repression. Truth Ministry, anyone?

Thank you, Bari, for the high quality of the guest contributors.

This is the transition from a society based on the teachings of the English Enlightenment to a society based on the horrors of the French Enlightenment.

One stresses logic and reason while the other puts emphasis on emotion and “lived experience”.

Well as the silly children of Harvard pretend with posters, their antics motivate working adults in real life. Their hateful puerile behavior is nothing but unintended advertising for AIPAC. Every time I read an article like this or see an anti-Zionist bumper sticker I send AIPAC more money. Anti-Zionism is hatred of Jewish people. Anti-Zionism is hatred of me; hatred of my children. Just that simple.

What do you expect? All good communists use propaganda to get their points across and that is what academia, particularly at the elite level, has been focused on since post modernist theory overwhelmed the marketplace of ideas at these institutions.

However, I am really distressed that with all this focus on inclusivity, equity and diversity, Jewish students are not able to openly express their faith. It just highlights what a load of crap this all is. There is only inclusivity if you think the way they think.

The reality is that the Palestinian “cause” has been on life support for quite some time, the reality coming more clearly into public view as an increasing number of Sunni Arab countries come out in their contacts, connections and relations (security, commercial and artistic) with Israel. With a malign and hegemonic Iran seemingly resurgent, the Palestinians- always pawns in Arab anti-Israel politics anyway - were now dispensable and, so, have been dispensed with, but for the occasion lip service.

The result is an increase of “passion” as expressed through antisemitic tropes in the West, with Harvard being one example among many. The increase in terror attacks in Israel is another example of the desperation by extremists terror groups to remain relevant.

In reading the Crimson editorial, I couldn’t help but detect a certain patronizing condescension, we support your cause as an act of solidarity with the supposedly downtrodden. It’s about feelings, not critical thinking because, well, Jews.

It's sad to see what sheep a lot of these college activists are. Led around by the nose, bullied into silence, not allowed to think critically. It's pathetic. Defund universities.

Harvard Student Rapoport was one of the main writers of the "BDS just the Jews, Free Palestine" borderline illiterate editorial. She proudly proclaims on Twit, "I am Jewish"!. The "As a Jew", hear me roar, notice me, love me fellow progressives and Muslims, as they seek to advance their careers as a professional Progressive by slandering the most important Jewish thing of the last century, Israel.

St Johns in Annapolis and Santa Fe. Reading and discussion based. Explore the Western canon.

I hope you are as “attuned” to the treatment of other groups by the fascist, totalitarian left. How many conservative speakers have been threatened or shut down on college campuses? The left DOES NOT care about facts.

Did anyone told the Harvard Crimson editors that joining BDS is akin to join the 1930's Nazi party??

This latest scourge of anti-semitism will only cease when these misguided children are foreclosed from opportunities in the workplace as a consequence of their radicalism. I am personally taking steps in my own workplace to insure that no student that seeks to cancel speakers, engage in anti-semitic speech or otherwise promotes illiberal conduct that is inconsistent with the ideals of our Republic will ever secure gainful employment. If successful, then these so-called soldiers will be forced to do what one does when they are not qualified to do anything else, namely, teach as a so called institution of higher learning. Take down names, video the conduct and cancel these people from society.

Does anyone still hold the delusion that progressive institutions care even a wit about truth?

At the root is an increase in anti-white racism. You can see it all over those murals. It recycles the same imagery used in black nationalism in the US.

We can recognize anti-semitism because we've seen it before. I don't think we can recognize the deeper thread of what's going on with whiteness in the US.

So the so-called (or formerly) best institutions of higher learning in our country are now indoctrinating our future leaders with hate - not just hate for Jews, but also hate for America's history, hate for America's institutions, and ultimately hate for America's promise. How do we counter that?
