Woke left loves minorities and immigrants, but only those that tow partly line or don't question dogma/religion. Any minority person or immigrant who doesn't fit the mold, is automatically danger, since he/she is living proof that their "teachings" are not universal truth and we cant have that.

I am an immigrant, married American wife. Her sister is super liberal/woke, so when ever I meet her friends, they have precived picture how immigrants are supposed to act or do, we all need to be die hard democrats (and super woke), hate republicans. Truth is usually completely different, since many immigrants came to USA for American dream, and not woke policies. Also many are socially and fiscally conservative people with strong family values.

I the beginning I tried to explain why I don't like democrats => sums up that I don't care for woke topics and care about economy and dont see immigrands or minorities as eternal victims of the system, it ended up every time with them assuming that I am right wing extremist. After several such events, I stopped voicing my opinions, for fear of being labeled.

I have never met, so bigoted and intolerant people as US woke left, there is 0 tolerance for different opinion, no intent to listened others point of view, facts are not relevant, reality doesn't exist.

Some times I ask myself how did we end up here? One of theories I have developed, is that these are product of helicopter parenting of 1990 and early 2000, when everyone got a trophy, everyone was always right everyone was special. Now these people are have entered workforce, and are unable to cope with reality that is not as they think it is. So instead of adapting to real world, they are trying to adapt world to they illiberal views.

The left has spent the past decade trying to sanctify and synergize persecution, ad hominem arguments/tactics, and epistemological bullshit into a club that can be wielded by our self-appointed moral gatekeepers to abuse and humiliate anyone who disagrees with them. Not a day goes by that you don't come across an example of this.

This was a truly eye-opening documentary. As a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons, I am seeing the destruction of a proud organization dedicated to excellence in surgery by those who promote a race essentialist, toxic, divisive ideology in pushing DEI/CRT on a clueless leadership and membership that has been frozen out by gaslighting and cancellation. To anyone who sees this documentary and thinks this could not happen in such an institution as Harvard, wake up. It is happening even in professional organizations like the ACS. The only solution is to pushback, hard. One of the best that I know of is FAIR, www.fairforall.org. Check it out. Rick Bosshardt, MD, FACS

The Left cannot countenance dissent in their narrative for black America. Black America must be seen, and treated as, victims so that the Left can fill a vacuum of meaning in their lives and consider themselves virtuous. It is a sickness, really; and it infantilizes black men and women, leaving an asterisk after each well-earned step forward. When a candidate like Donald Trump polls higher among black Americans after 4 years of alleged racism, it is a glimmer of hope that this stranglehold on rational thought, driven by an obsessive Leftist media and universities, may be starting to take on water.

Why? Easy. Because pets are not permitted to overshine their masters. The entire liberal, woke racial narrative has always been nauseating to me. Blacks are trotted out and celebrated by "progressives" like show dogs BUT only if they tow the line and stick to the narrative. If, like Justice Thomas, and so many other independent thinkers, they dare to try to leave the plantation, the boom gets lowered. Hard. Maybe the hard truth is too hard for our liberal friends. People are people. Not your stooges and playthings. And if you can't accept that race is skin deep, and not a person's defining nature, then maybe the problem is with you. Not them.

Attacking a black scholar for having the audacity to point out real world data that reflects the surprising conclusion that emphasizing prudence, deferred gratification, hard work, emotional discipline and aspiration is unacceptable as a threat to the victimology industry.

African Americans who deviate from the party (left) line become targets for destruction. Inappropriate behavior that would warrant administrative scolding or mild sanction receive career ending punishment, both professional and personal. The reverse is true as well. In a recent NCAA basketball kerfuffle, Juwan Howard, University of Michigan coach, who is black, struck a white coach on the opposing team while going through the post game handshake line. Howard received a mild sanction. Had the roles been reversed, the sanction likely would have been career ending. Had Howard been a conservative black man, same would have held as well. Cancel culture is explicitly political.

Roland Fryer challenged the religion of leftism. He tried to be a psychiatrist to the mentally ill leftists. But they make too much money and possess too much power off of victimization of blacks, so they had to destroy the messenger. This is what we’re up against as free thinkers and challengers of the lies of CRT and DEI.

This was a digital execution by an out-of-control political cult.

As a center-lefty and historian by education, I can say for sure that the "progressive" wing of the party has drawn and amalgamated their tactics straight out of the Cultural Revolution and National Socialism. It's not hyperbole. We're all seeing the endless propaganda, intimidation, and the outright destruction of lives of those who disagree with a delusional worldview.

Fortunately, they're largely abandoning the gaslighting and operating out in the open. Examples of evil are daily. We are the majority, the centrists and conservatives. It's time to take a stand, now. In the office, on social media, and most importantly, in elections. The far left is the most destructive force in US society and must be stopped at all costs.

Can you imagine if Daniel Patrick Moynihan published 'The Mooynihan Report' today? IMHO, the best analysis of the roots of racial income inequality, but the facts fly in the face of the race industry.

Documentaries and articles like these can turn a center-loyal democrat to a center republican. The far left has become a hate-filled place.

Great piece! Thankfully I came across my Roland Fryer's when young in the '80s: Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Fredrick Douglass... then my drill sergeants and team leaders, college professer's and now co-workers. Race doesn't mean a thing to the overwhelming majority of us who have actually had to work for a living and make tough choices. Those qualities are not found in the purveyors of "Grievance Industry, Inc." who make billions of dollars peddling false narratives and ruining countless lives with said narratives. Just as Trump disrupted trillions of ill-gotten gains from the globalists, Mr. Fryer was disrupting billions and they both had to go. Thankfully people are starting to see this shit for what it is.

A 5-star talent such as Dr. Fryer can take his talents anywhere else, and I pray he does.

Dr. Fryer in on the path of being this generation’s Thomas Sowell; God bless him with long life and prosperity.

This story is indeed more powerful than most illustrations of the “woke” takeover in colleges, but this one projects the extra layer of exposing the extent to which the race-hustling cottage industry operates, even at Harvard, to the detriment of the people it pretends to care about.

Other prominent, conservative Blacks have spoken about this “soft bigotry of low expectations,” for example, Deroy Murdock, John James, Lawrence Jones, John McWhorter, Candace Owens, Sen. Tim Scott, Dr. Ben Carson, Kimberly Klacik, Burgess Owens; and fellow economists Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams - and Glenn Loury, featured in the documentary. (Bari: Are all of these Black voices known to you? They should be.)

Anyway, thanks for sharing this piece about a remarkable man. History is a very long game. It may be that Professor Fryer and his message will emerge vindicated.

We should be surprised by Harvard's reaction? Lord have mercy.

The raw data on the use of deadly force by police is available for all to see, even for a senile old fool like me who long ago was a newspaper reporter and editor.

The statistics are in various FBI public reports, which I read within the first days after the death of Mr. Floyd.

Harvard obviously was not the only institution to warp lies into the "truths" so many willing people can use to justify riots and murder and destruction.

We have a problem with basic education in the United States that impacts all young people, not just black young people.

The editors at Common Sense deserve our thanks for bringing this story to us.
