“What a fast swimmer: A Penn State swimmer who competed for three seasons at the college level as a man is now absolutely dominating the sport as a woman,”

————————————-

As someone who demands justice, and also comedy, I’m really hoping one of the girls announces that she has severe anxiety and demands to compete with her emotional support jet ski.

I'm not hating, but I so dislike this tortured language "a swimmer competing as a man". It's a man competing as a woman. Period. The reason these absurdities are now common place is the corruption of language. Peace !

I am a public charter school teacher. I teach, and have taught an urban, working-class to poor demographic my entire career (26 years, LA County). The malaise that seems to have befallen so many teachers/districts is completely foreign to me.

In am fortunate to teach at a school where the leadership, staff, and parents appreciate and love what we do. After 3 months we’ve had only 2 student cases of COVID (500 persons total) and 2 teacher cases; the latest being me, even though my symptoms were mild AND our entire staff was vaxxed in April. We test everyone weekly.

The students love being back; WE love being back because virtual instruction was disastrous for too many students. These reports of mass check-outs are an indictment of the poor public education leadership we suffer from. If parents had more choice in educating their children you would minimize the effect of such poor leadership; attending board meetings and protests doesn’t work. Being able to choose the best school for your child, and thus threatening the existence of such poor leadership is the best way to change it/limit its damage.

Excellent account about what citizens of Waukesha are experiencing in the aftermath of the Christmas parade massacre. Thank you for keeping the story alive — unlike the mainstream press. Happy Hanukkah!

“Instead of dutifully showcasing the real life apartments of poor Irish immigrants, they are adding a more diverse cast”

—————————————-

Makes sense. The entire Democrat agenda to destroy the United States depends upon no one understanding that, for example, my white privilege was preceded by my great-grandpa moving to North Dakota from Norway where he had dirt floors and zero slaves.

Also, I could not care less about my heritage because I have eschewed tribalism for being a free individual. The only reason I know that is because I was forced to do a ‘Cultural Fair’ project in 7th grade.

Just when I think I can't loathe Biden, the MSM and Democrat leaders (triumvirate of evil) any more, they find a way to drop the limbo bar of sleaze even lower and slither under it with ease. What happened in Waukesha was a terrorist attack with dozens of victims and a horrifying number of deaths. Biden hasn't visited or strongly condemned the act of violence when he found plenty of time to visit Jacob Blake and his family when he was shot as he was attempting a kidnapping. I haven't seen any Democratic leader condemn this terrorist attack either. The MSM has buried any mention of Waukesha unless they want to talk about this mysterious SUV that autonomously caused the "accident" while sympathizing with Darrell Brooks because he has been "dehumanized". The triumvirate of evil are vile, horrible people who don't care when people die if they don't serve their narrative. Despicable.

Although he might be a bête noire to many, if Bari gets the headline of the week for “Women’s Tennis Has Balls, Does Wall Street”, surely Sen. Ted Cruz deserves some recognition for his tweet “The Women’s Tennis Association has bigger balls than the NBA”.

There is only ONE solution to these problems that the Democrats and their lapdog followers in the MSM will understand:

Next November, you must hold your nose and vote REPUBLICAN all the way down the ticket.

It doesn't matter that you may never have heard of the candidate or his or her views - only a complete and total REPUDIATION of the Democrat party and their bizarre rejection of reality at all levels will do.

And this is from a lifelong liberal who despised Trump but only now understands WHY he happened and why he has so many supporters.

If we don't do this now we may never find our way back to sensible, reality-based governance.

Nellie - thank you for shining a light on the Waukesha victims! A young single mother with four young children injured in the attack? I can't even imagine what she must be going through. It's infuriating that the MSM is downplaying this slaughter. If anyone has trustworthy links to help the victims with medical expenses etc., please share. No doubt this holiday season is going to be brutal for them.

When Brooks was being arraigned, there was an image of his defense attorney putting her arm around him, presumably to comfort him. I can only speculate that's when he found out that the youngest victim had actually died - and she was comforting him??? Wow - we really do live in upside down world when Darrell Brooks is portrayed as the victim.

On the same note, George Stephanopoulos' nauseating gag-fest with Alec Baldwin attempting to repair his image? Baldwin apparently feels no guilt, no responsibility for Halyna Hutchins' death. Talk about forgetting the victims: Halyna, her husband, their young son, and Joel Souza. Isn't that investigation still going? Who at ABC thought it a good idea to allow Baldwin a platform to excuse himself of any responsibility (criminal or otherwise) when there's an ongoing investigation? It was sickening to watch!

"The #strong motto has become the standard for American towns after a mass killing."

The fact that such a standard exists is heartbreaking.

In some ways the people stuck in the pub for several days is a good news story (it has happened in that particular pub before). In other ways, people in the North East of England (and in Scotland) are still suffering the after effects from Arwen, one of the worst storms to hit the region for years (the wind came from the North East). Electricity and water has been out in some places since last Friday (best guess for reconnection sometime before Christmas). People in my village who lost power were only reconnected yesterday. The army has finally been called out to County Durham today.

If this had happened closer to London, it would have been a major international news story. As it is -- crickets in most of the UK press.

Local people are just getting on with it-- general rallying around. Various community centres are open providing hot meals and drinks as well as places to recharge phones. The local MP has been trying to help and sends out updates etc every day. But there has just been so much infrastructure damage.

I'm pro vaccination too. I've taken every other vaccination available in my lifetime (58 years) but I chose not to take this one. I assessed that there was lower risk in being exposed to a corona virus than to be exposed to (and likely dependent on) an unproven (therefore unsafe) technology. I appear to have been correct because I was exposed to covid-19 and recovered as I expected. I've been tested twice since for antibodies. Both times I tested very positive. Based on decades of virology, and tests from a legitimate laboratory (unlike the plethora of fake vaccine passports in circulation), my natural immunity (via infection) is more robust and durable than a vaccinated immunity. Is Common Sense also pro natural immunity? If so, would Common Sense consider advocating for a "Natural Immunity Passport" so that those of us who're far less dangerous than vaccinated people can participate in society on par with the vaccinated? C'mon Bari, let's see how far off the political science narrative your team can go to seek truth. :)

Feels like you hit your stride this week, Nellie.

Am reflective of the poor people trapped in a pub for four days with an Oasis Tribute Band. Thanks be that this didn't turn into a Donner Party Event.

When our anti-racists preach that everything about an American is a footnote to their race, then crime becomes, narratively, derivative of race. As a corollary, white people, Jews, and Asians are more susceptible to killer SUVs than anything else.

That swimming mentally ill man (or is he just a con artist with boobs and a penis) should be consigned to swimming with the fishes. Why does America allow this garbage? Do most people just not want to be seen as mean in the face of delusion? At what point will normal people strike back.

Maybe here is the tipping point. A woman on a Delta flight was trying to breastfeed her hairless cat. She doesn’t belong on a plane, she belongs in a mental asylum.
